Christopher S. Chandler, MD, restores health and vitality with lifesaving transplant surgery of the liver, kidney and pancreas. His multidisciplinary approach combines leading technologies and techniques across the fields of medicine to achieve the optimal outcome. He develops a treatment plan that keeps you and your values in the center, working with you and your family to achieve a healthier, longer life with each other. Dr. Chandler is fluent in English and conversational in Spanish.
Specialized treatments include transplantation of liver, kidney and pancreas for end stage organ failure. Dr. Chandler also treats benign and malignant conditions of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas and biliary tree, including liver resection, cholecystectomy, biliary reconstruction and pancreatic resection.
Dr. Chandler earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at Stony Brook University School of Medicine in New York. He completed his general surgery residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center where he was intimately involved in quality improvement as a chief resident. His fellowship in abdominal organ transplant and hepatobiliary surgery was at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center. Dr. Chandler is board certified in general surgery (American Board of Surgery).
Away from the clinic, Dr. Chandler enjoys quality time with his family, attending the symphony and theater, playing the cello, running and going to movies.
